1. The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel

Hello! I’m using Pollination for the first time and I get this error when I try to Get a recipe from the Setup Runs components. Any idea on what this means and how I can solve it?

Hi @Entwine.dk, can you provide some more info here. Does it log in successfully? Are you using a VPN? Can you share a screenshot? Thanks.

Here’s the error. The login works fine, I tried to log-out and back in a couple of times but still had the same issue. I’m not using a VPN, and I tried with two different internet connections… Same error pops up!
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks

Are you on a Mac? I know that the security requests are different there than Windows. Also, are you using Rhino 6?

Hi @Entwine.dk , could you attach the log file that you can find it from here?

Meanwhile, just to ensure the connection between our server and GH plugin is all fine, could you try to load load one of public project from others to see if you get the same SSL error? Maybe you can also check this file for debugging.

Hey Chris, thanks for getting back to me! I’m using a Mac but on a Windows 10 partition, so it should just work as a Windows. And I’m using Rhino 7, but I have the latest version of pollination (0.77.1.0) that should be compatible with Rhino 7.

Hi @Mingbo , here’s the content of the log file:
2021-06-17 10:31:37.621 +02:00 [INF] Rhinoceros 7
2021-06-17 10:32:53.845 +02:00 [INF] PollinationSignInAsync: loggin from Pollination Cloud App
2021-06-17 10:32:59.163 +02:00 [INF] PollinationSignInAsync: closing the listener
2021-06-17 10:32:59.880 +02:00 [INF] SignInAsync: logged in as entwine

I tried to load public projects and I get just the same error.
Regarding the debug file, it’s not clear to me what should I input to the _jobId. As the component doesn’t load any project, it does not create a job, correct?

Hi @Mostapha , @Mingbo and @chris ,
I tried getting a recipe from another computer (Rhino 7, Ladybug 1.2.0, same internet connection, just like on my PC) and it works!
It then must be something with my own computer. I’ll look into it and post back here if I find a solution! If you have any suggestion, let me know.

I had the same issue, I tried recomputing the canvas and it works. Hope that helps!

Hi guys

I just got the same SSL/TLS error.

I tried recomputing the canvas as suggested by @ketan but it didn’t work.

I also tried copying the component as @Sonderwoods suggested here. This method actually worked, but this seems kind of sketchy.

Also, in my case, I would like to use the annual-daylight recipe without the visualization part to reduce data storage on the cloud. I do this by choosing recipe by name, as suggested by @mostapha here. When doing so using the ladybug-tools/annual-daylight/0.8.12 recipe, the component looks like this.

This is the log I got from the SetupRuns component
