We have experimenting with the Annual Energy Use recipe. Although the execution time for the recipe is around 30s, the job is taking 9 minutes to finish. Are we missing something?

This is a bug that we should fix on our end. The additional time is because of the retries that happen for zipping the optional output which doesn’t exist. We don’t render those steps in the viewer. I have documented this issue internally and we will push a fix soon.
Meanwhile, the workaround to avoid this problem is to provide an input for viz_vars. This will generate the optional output and avoids the additional overhead time. For instance, you can try Zone Mean Radiant Temperature.
