Is there a workflow in Rhino to convert .skp files to a simulate-able geometry?

Hi @marentette, There is no fully automated way to convert a SketchUp file to a simulatable energy model in Rhino without doing some manual work. At least as far as I know.

The two options that I’m aware of are:

  1. Import the SKP model to Rhino using the Rhino native import, and then use the Rhino plugin to convert them to rooms and so on.

  2. Use the OpenStudio application in SketchUp to create an OpenStudio model which you can then use to bring it to Rhino using the Pollination Rhino plugin.
