Integration of energy calculations and landscape work

1. Is it possible to utilize the pollination plug-in to generate and simulate analytical models that resemble trees?
2. If so, are we able to modify the parameters of these models, such as size, density, and transparency?

Hi @pradipta,

Thank you for posting your question here. If you only want to use EnergyPlus, the closest that you can get to a tree is to create a shade object and assign a transparency schedule to it. Here is a similar question.

Hi @upawarcannon, For energy simulation, there are limitations to how far you can go with the details for shading faces but you can use the Transmittance Schedule to set the transmittance for these shades in your energy simulation. [image]

Another, more advanced approach can be to use Radiance to model the tree with more details in Radiance and calculate the shade coefficient on every facade and then overwrite the values in Energy simulation.

@chriswmackey or @mingbo might be able to suggest other solutions.
